I’m heartbroken, I don’t know if I’ll be able to live. I can’t stop crying. I’m such a mess! (sarcasm) I make all of my works for sale on Maketplace. This can be a dodgy place if you don’t know your way around. I made a comprehensive post a few days ago (scroll a few posts down) I get a lot of interest on my posts but only a tiny fraction of these people follow through with the chat. I’m not sure if it’s bots or someone who is bord but I’ll get asked if the painting is still available and then they disappear? Why bother sending me a message? Anyway, it’s always nice to communicate with a real human, especially if they are legit. Most of these people end up purchasing the work.

I posted a large 121cm x 121cm canvas a couple of days ago and it had a few hits. A lady hits me up and wants to come over and have a viewing, which I’m always happy for.. Keep in mind I put up plenty of photos of the painting to make sure the buyer knows exactly what they are getting. So she and her boyfriend rock up. The step inside and within 30 seconds look at each other and shake their heads. “This isn’t for us'“ she says. And without a goodbye or apology leaves to their car and disappear. There was no hello, small talk, or goodbye. I understand a lot of people are strictly for a business transaction…. but this pissed me off. I’ve sold a lot of painting on MP and had a perfect success rate, and then this happens.

People in general are hard to deal with and I have little faith in most of the human race but I always write polite messages, even if the person on the other end id a dick, and I go out of my way to treat whoever comes into my home to look at my work with respect. Very basic manners goes a long way.
