Thank you, Mum — the help you’ve given me over the last week or two has been absolutely phenomenal. I genuinely couldn’t have managed without your support. You’ve been by my side for every single thing that’s popped up: appointments, paperwork, phone calls, and simply being there — your presence has been nothing short of brilliant. I know you have other commitments and things in your life, yet you’ve still put them to one side to look after me. It’s incredibly helpful having both a mum and a sister who are nurses (mum retired); they understand the medications, know the right questions to ask during consultations, and bring calm and clarity when it matters most. I don’t know how to fully express my appreciation — words feel small. Dad was also there for me, particularly on that terrifying night when I was tripping off my head from a calcium overdose and I was very, very unwell — I almost died. He collected me from my old place of residence when I couldn’t even walk. Thank you, Dad — I’m so grateful to you both.
